Ess Dee Aluminium expands Capacity at Daman

Ess Dee Aluminium Ltd has announced that close on the heels of commissioning of the Second Foil Rolling Mill at Daman (enhancing capacity from 3600 tpa to 9100 tpa), Company has made expansion by setting up new unit in Baddi in Flex Art Foil Pvt Ltd (a 100% subsidiary of the Company).

The existing Baddi unit of Flex Art Foil Pvt Ltd has an installed capacity of 600 tpa which will increase to 2000 tpa. Land, building and machinery for the new unit has been finalized and commercial production is expected to commence by early February 2007. Flex Art Foil Pvt Ltd (a 100 % subsidiary of the Company) supplies Aluminium foils slit to specific widths and / or printed to proprietary designs, to pharmaceutical customers. This enhanced capacity at Baddi will be used to cater to the ever increasing demand from the burgeoning creed of pharmaceutical customers, who taking advantage of the excise and tax sops have set up manufacturing base in Himachal Pradesh, Uttranchal and Jammu.
