MUMBAI--Hindustan Zinc Ltd. , India's leading zinc producer by volume, has increased its zinc price by INR1,200 a metric ton to INR161,600/ton, the company said in a statement Saturday.
The increase is with immediate effect, it said.
The company also raised its lead price by INR500/ton to INR97,000/ton, the statement said.
No reasons were given for the changes.
Hindustan Zinc is a unit of London-listed Vedanta Resources PLC (VED.LN).
