Nalco Sells 150,000 Tons Alumina

India's state-run National Aluminum Company, or Nalco, has sold 150,000 metric tons of alumina to a European company, a Nalco official said. Nalco sold another 150,000 of alumina last week, after floating a 300,000-ton sale tender Sept. 25. The official said that based on current London Metal Exchange aluminum prices, the sale price works out to $320/ton in the current sale and $316/ton in the previous sale. The alumina has been priced at 12.88% of LME's three-month aluminum contract price, and will be shipped within a year, the official said.
