Vedanta plans to sign aluminum smelt agreement with West Bengal Government

Local media said India metal producer plans to set up large-scale aluminum smelt plant and power station. This project includes 650,000 ton primary aluminum smelter and 3000 MW coal-power station. Vedanta said to local media that they choose West Bengal is because they have enough coal resource though have not plenty bauxite resource. That is fit to develop large scale power project. Vedanta has land use right, but it plans to get more buy purchasing.
