India Produced 1.13M Tons of Aluminum During First 11 Months

Mumbai, Mar 25—India’s state-run and private companies produced about 1,130,000 tonnes aluminum in the first 11 months of this fiscal year, up 8% compared with a year ago, Ministry of Mines data showed on Tuesday. The data showed India produced 642,915 tons copper in the period, representing a year-on-year growth of 11%. India's fiscal year runs from April to March. The data also showed that the country produced 397,800 tons zinc, up 344,786 tons on year, and 52,276 tons of lead, up around 28% on year. Gold production totaled 10.93 tons, down from 11.71 tons a year earlier.
