India’s April Aluminum at 102,317t

New Delhi, May 26, 2008—India’s state-run and private companies produced 102,317tons of aluminum in April, up from the 99,417 tons in the same period last year, said India’s government in a statement yesterday. India produced 53,562 tons of copper in April against 50,616 tons in the same period last year. Zinc production is estimated at 43,290 tons versus 32,953 tons in the year-earlier period; lead production is estimated at 5,161 tons versus 4,739 tons in the year-earlier period.
