National Aluminium Agrees to Sell Alumina at $457.57 a Ton

June 24 (Bloomberg) -- National Aluminium Co., India's biggest alumina producer, agreed to sell 30,000 metric tons of the aluminum-making material at $457.57 a ton to a Johannesburg- based bank. The alumina is for delivery next month, Chairman C.R. Pradhan said by phone from Bhubaneswar in eastern India where the company is based. He didn't identify the bank. Nalco, as the company is known, exports 64 percent of its 1.6 million tons of annual output of alumina at prices linked to the London Metal Exchange. by Debarati Roy in Mumbai at droy5@bloomberg.net.
