National Aluminium: Aluminum To Stay At $2,400-$2,500/Ton

MUMBAI, Sep 25, 2008 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex)-- Global aluminum prices during the rest of 2008 may stabilize around $2,400-$2,500 per metric ton, a senior official with India's state-run National Aluminium Co. Ltd. (532234.BY) said Thursday. "For 2009, predictions are that aluminum prices will be lower. However, I expect prices to be stable and a fluctuation of $200/toncan be seen," C.R. Pradhan, chairman and managing director of the company said on CNBC-TV18. Alumina prices during the rest of 2008 are likely to be in the range of $350-$400/ ton, he said. -Dow Jones Newswires
