India Apr-Jan Aluminum Output 1.11 Mln Tons Vs 1.03 Mln Tons

NEW DELHI, Feb 17, 2009 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- India's state-run and private companies produced 1.11 million metric tons of aluminum in the April-January period, versus 1.03 tons a year ago, data from the ministry of mines showed Tuesday. India produced 520,754 tons of copper cathode, versus 582,476 tons, 476,803 tons of zinc versus 356,310 tons, 50,559 tons of lead compared with 46,877 tons and 6 tons of gold versus 10 tons, the data showed.
