Aluminium futures rise on domestic demand

Aluminium prices inched up by Rs 0.35 to Rs 94 per kg in futures trade today after traders enlarged their positions, supported by rising demand in the spot market.


At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery August month rose by Rs 0.35 or 0.32 per cent to Rs 94 per kg with an open interest 1 lot.


Similarly, the metal for delivery in July contract traded higher by Rs 0.25 or  0.32 per cent, to Rs 92.95 per kg, with a turnover of 18 lots.


Market analysts attributed the rise in aluminium prices in futures trade to firm trend at the physical market on rising demand.
