Aleris Corporation, an Ohio-based aluminum rolled products manufacturer, said that it suspended production at its Lewisport plant from May 10th due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The demand for aluminum kept decreasing, coupled with the delay to restart the production lines at Aleris’ main automotive customer, Aleris could only choose to stop Lewisport plant’s production.
The exact timeline for resuming normal operations was uncertain, but Aleris expected to get back to its work on May 26th.
