SDK to Change Organization of Aluminum Sector

Showa Denko K.K. (SDK) has decided to change its Aluminum Sector organization effective July 1, 2009 to increase efficiency. Specifically, the Metal Center will be abolished and its functions will be taken over by the Planning Office of the sector. Meanwhile, the Development Department under the Aluminum Technology Center will also be abolished and its functions will be directly controlled by the Aluminum Technology Center. The Metal Center has been purchasing aluminum metal to be used within the Showa Denko Group as well as purchasing aluminum metal for sale to customers outside the Group. However, SDK has decided to terminate the aluminum metal sales to customers outside the Group. Under the circumstances, SDK will integrate the Metal Center into the Planning Office to simplify the organization. The Development Department is already operated very closely with the Aluminum Technology Center. Thus, in order to increase efficiency, the Aluminum Technology Center will hereafter directly control the technical development functions. source:www.itnews.it
