THOMAS & Coffey’s Kurri Kurri team has secured a contract to deliver integrated pot rebuilding services for Hydro Aluminium Kurri Kurri.
The contract is worth up to $15m per year, and will see more than 50 people deployed on the smelter site.
The contract means Thomas & Coffey will deliver all reconstruction works for pots installed in the smelter’s three potlines, taking effective control of the pot at the time of shutdown through to hand-back.
Thomas & Coffey will be responsible of all the works, including subcontractor procurement and management, programming, production interaction management and equipment scheduling.
Thomas & Coffey will refurbish all superstructure and associated mechanical and electrical equipment as required, including hoppers, anode clamps and anode doors.
