Hydro has announced to invest US$48.3 million to build a 3,000-ton, 12-inch indirect aluminum extrusion press line at its facility in Cressona, Pennsylvania, to support the continuously growing transportation, distribution, and industrial market fields in North America.

This new aluminum extrusion press was expected to be operational by late 2023, and it will push the company’s manufacturing process to a new level with a solid foundation in Cressona.
This investment came closely after the site’s successful 2019 greenfield installation of a 10-inch extrusion press to provide service to the automotive and distribution markets.
