Rusal Aluminum Production Expands 5 Percent in Nine Months

Oct. 18 -- United Co. Rusal, the world's largest aluminum producer, said output of the metal expanded 5 percent in the first nine months of the year. Rusal produced 3.1 million metric tons of aluminum between January and September, the Moscow-based company said in an e- mailed statement today. Alumina production rose 5.7 percent to 8.45 million tons, the company said.
