MARKET TALK: Most Metal Cos Up; Strong Price Trend On LME

Most metal shares extend gains with normal volumes in buoyant market, with help to nonferrous metal firms from strong price trend in various metal prices on London Metal Exchange; Hindalco (500440.BY) +2.1% at INR179.05, Tata Steel (500470.BY) +1.5% at INR500, Sterlite (500900.BY) +0.2% at INR578.50. "Nonferrous metals are looking good as their share prices are still way below their highs in May, although the prices of the metals on the LME have bounced back," says dealer; says despite small gains so far, a big local fund active especially in Sterlite.
