World daily primary aluminium output averaged 66,000 mt/day in November, up from a production level of 65,800 mt/day in October and from 65,500 mt/day in November 2005, according to figures released Wednesday by the International Aluminium Institute.
Total production in November (30 days) was 1.979 million mt, down from 2.039 million mt in October (31 days) and up from year-earlier levels of 1.965 million mt in November 2005.
In the first eleven months of this year, total global primary aluminium production rose to 21.809 million mt or an average rate of 65.3 million mt/day, from 21.432 million mt or an average rate of 64,200 mt/day in January-November 2005, the IAI said.
