LME aluminum prices are steady with talk that Guinea could face another national strike next week "spooking the market," a broker notes. "Aluminum's tight and another strike could create some further short-covering," he adds. Guinea is a key bauxite producer, a key ingredient in the production of alumina which in turns makes aluminum. LME aluminum trades last at $2,717/ton, up from $2,695/ton Wednesday.
