Copper and Nickel Slip; Aluminum Rises on London Metal Exchange

Oct. 9 -- Copper, nickel, tin and zinc fell on the London Metal Exchange while aluminum climbed from its lowest in 19 months. Copper for delivery in three months fell $50, or 0.6 percent, to $7,910 a metric ton as of 6:31 a.m. in London. Nickel lost $150, or 0.5 percent, to $30,000 a ton; tin slid 0.6 percent to $15,500; zinc declined 0.3 percent to $2,940 a ton. Aluminum, which yesterday fell to its lowest since March 10, 2006, gained 0.1 percent to $2,390 a metric ton.
