Rio Tinto Alcan start new smelting technology

Rio Tinto said it plans to carry out new generation AP aluminum smelting technology, this technology is named AP-Xe, that may let energy consume volume fell 20%, and environmental and costs will fell. AP-Xe will carry on research work by stage and replace currently AP series. The former metal president of Rio Tinto Alcan Jacynthe Cote said : “global is focus on climate change and environmental influence, this new technology will bring a big change.”
