US Ball Corp To Close Its Washington Aluminum Beverage Can Plant

US packaging producer Ball Corp announced it will close its aluminum beverage can manufacturing plant in Kent, Washington, in the third quarter this year. The 28-year old plant, part of the 1998 acquisition of Reynolds Metals, operates 2 production lines with a capacity of about 1.1 billion, 12-ounce beverage cans a year. Kent’s equipment will be exchanged with Ball’s other beverage can system where holds a better profit, said the company. COPYRIGHT All rights reserved.
