ALCOA to hire 100 workers

One of the Quad Cities biggest employers is looking to grow. ALCOA announced plans to hire a hundred new workers.

The employees will start in December and will be mostly production and maintenance positions.

Alcoa leaders say dealing with the rough economy gave them the chance to expand.

"During the times we were having the down economy, it gave us an opportunity to make those improvements, to take the time to work on our process," said Cindy McDermott with ALCOA.
