Kaiser Aluminum Q3 Profit Rises

　　Kaiser Aluminum Corp reported third-quarter net income of $29.2 million or $1.51 earnings per share compared to $4.1 million, or $0.21 per share for the third quarter 2011.

　　Excluding the impact of non-run-rate items, adjusted net income was $20 million or $1.02 per share for the third quarter 2012, reflecting a significant improvement from adjusted net income of $12 million or $0.62 per share for the third quarter 2011.

　　Net sales for the quarter rose to $335.5 million from $322.3 million in the prior year quarter.

　　Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.82 per share on revenues of $333.61 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
