Sino-Canadian Aluminum Alloy Joint Venture Settles In East China

NANJING, Sept 13 Asia Pulse - A Sino-Canadian high-strength aluminum alloy joint venture project with total investment of US$300 million will be launched in Zhenjiang in east China's Jiangsu province. An agreement on cooperation of the project was signed between the Zhenjiang Dingsheng Aluminum Co of China and Alcan Inc of Canada, one of the top 500 enterprises in the world and the second largest aluminum company globally, in Zhenjiang on September 11. The high-strength aluminum alloy for aviation and space industry will fill the gap of production of large aluminum alloy in China. Located in the Jingkou Industry Park of Zhenjiang, the joint venture company will produce aluminum products and hot-rolled medium-thick plate for aviation and space industry. The products are also widely used in transport, chemical, electricity and machinery production.
