Alcan proposes to invest on new refinery

Alcan bauxite and alumina company chairman and CEO Jacynthe Cote said to Ghana president Kufuor that it propose to invest million dollars to construct a new bauxite refinery in Sekondi to increase output and improve local employment. Kufuor welcomed this proposal and hope to bring more jobs to young people Jacynthe Cote said: “Alcan own high quality mine resource, and this project is very well, aluminum products is urgently required in the world.” But he hasn’t disclose the exactly launch date, only showed that Alcan has 60 years’ cooperation agreement with Ghana on bauxite.”
