Canada Feb. Production of Primary Aluminum

The Aluminum Association of Canada reported the annual rate of primary aluminum production in Canada during February 2008 is 3,117,638 tonnes, an increase of 9,891 tpy, compared to the January rate of 3,107,747 tpy. Compared to the previous year, Canadian production was 2.1 percent above the February 2007 rate of 3,052,378 tpy. Actual production in February totaled 247,026 tonnes. And the primary aluminum production in Canada during the first two months is 510,250 tonnes, up 3.3 percent of 2007.
