HONG KONG, Feb 9 - Aluminum Corp of China Ltd <2600.HK> <601600.SS> said it has entered into a framework agreement to build an aluminium plant with an annual capacity of 330,000 tonnes in Malaysia, with a total estimated investment of $1 billion.
The plant would be controlled by Smelter Asia Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Chalco and GIIG, a Malaysian company, Chalco said in a statement on Tuesday, adding that it planned to contribute $350 million to $400 million for a 35 to 40 percent equity stake in the joint venture.
