MARKET TALK: Tight Nickel Stocks Support Prices

Strike at Xstrata's Sudbury plant is averted but tight nickel inventories keep prices well-supported, says LME analyst. Nickel stocks fell 144 metric tons to 3,222 tons Friday, comprising less than one day's worth of global nickel consumption. 3-month nickel trades at $36,900 a metric ton, up roughly 0.1% from Thursday.
