A strike at India's 1.575 million tpy Damanjodi alumina refinery in the eastern state of Orissa ended yesterday after three days of lost production.
Officials from state-owned Nalco, which operates the refinery and associated bauxite mines, negotiated a deal with unions that saw workers return to work late yesterday.
The action was sparked by union demands that the company employ a member of the family of a company employee who died from natural causes earlier this week.
