Ess Dee Aluminium`s net profit stood at Rs 125.3 million for the quarter ended Mar.31, 2007.
Net sales of the company for the quarter was 631.6 million.
Total income of the company for the quarter was Rs 652.5 million.
The EPS stood at Rs 5.95.
During the quarter, the board of directors recommended a dividend of 20%, that is Rs 2 a share, for the year 2006-2007.

During the year, the company issued 9,558,182 equity shares of Rs 10 each by way of bonus shares, 2,380,705 equity shares of Rs 10 each on preferential basis and 6,965,878 equity shares of Rs 10 each at a price of Rs 225 a share to the public though its maiden public issue which was oversubscribed 32.50 times. This resulted in increase in paid up capital by Rs 66.96 million.
During the year, aluminium foil production capacity has been increased from 3,600 TPA to 9,100 TPA upon commissioning of second rolling mill. A PVdC coating line has been successfully commissioned. This facilitates barrier coating and thermoforming film for blister pack applications in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ess Dee is in the business of cold rolling of aluminium foil stock to aluminium foil, which is further converted into printers stock through the process of lamination for strip pack or coating for blister pack. The company also manufactures thermoforming poly vinyl chloride films (rigid PVC films) as well as PVdC coated PVC barrier thermoforming films for blister packaging.
Share of the company closed up Rs 5.10, or 1.47%, at Rs 350.90. Total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 157,367.
