Hindalco's Novelis To Close Aluminum Factory In UK - BBC

LONDON (Dow Jones)--Aluminum manufacturer Novelis is to close a factory in the U.K. with the loss of 440 jobs, the BBC reports on its Web site Wednesday. Novelis, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hindalco Industries (500440.BY), blamed a "significant decline in orders" for the closure, which will happen by the end of April. The plant produces aluminum sheet, which is supplied either as coils or cut sheets to the transport, engineering and packaging sectors, the BBC says.
