Vedanta's Lanjigarh alumina refinery keeps operation during coronavirus epidemic

   It was reported that Vedanta's alumina refinery at Lanjigarh will keep operating after taking all prevention measures against coronavirus according to suggestions by the government and the health authorities. However, the firm was actively reducing workforce due to the danger of the epidemic.

 
  The decision to remain Lanjigarh alumina refinery’s operation amid such the emergent period was the fact that aluminum was a key metal for national strategy, and it was also very important in sectors of electricity, aerospace, defense and construction. Besides, aluminum was also a second important metal in the world.
