EMAL signed initial cooperate contract with Indonesia government

EMAL has signed initial cooperate contract with Indonesia government on Friday to invest a 3.2 aluminum smelter and power station. State aluminum director B. L. Bagra said the output will be 250 thousand metric ton in first stage; coal-fired power station output is 750 MW. This number will rise to 500 thousand metric ton and 1250 MW in the second stage. These projects may start to commercial operation in five years; they will need 1m metric ton alumina every year that will supply by EMAL. B. L. Bagra said: “our alumina is surplus home so that will supply by us.” It also said that South Suatra government has permitted them to explore coal mine in there.
