Trinidad Alutrint plans to begin first phase construction in April

CEO of Alutrint Philp Julien said on yesterday they plans to start first phase construction work of LA BREA aluminum plant in April. He also said that base construction work is carry on following plan, it is estimated about 1,000 to 1,500 Chinese workers will arrive in Trinidad. Julien said this plant has cost $500m, it has equipped advanced technology and expect to put into second phase production in 2010. ALutrint has made consultation for build sanitarium for this plant, which is also required by local environmental management commission. Environmentalists have made a demonstration on this problem last year.
