Kazakhstan Drops Export Duty On Primary Aluminum - Interfax

ALMATY, Kazakhstan (Dow Jones)--Kazakhstan has dropped the export duty on primary aluminum, Interfax news agency reported Tuesday, citing the Kazakh industry and trade minister. "The issue of lifting the customs duty for primary aluminum has been finally settled," Vladimir Shkolnik was quoted by Interfax as saying at a Cabinet meeting. Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Masimov Tuesday pledged support to Kazakh manufacturers that have been hit hard by the economic slowdown.
