SAO PAULO, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Brazil's primary aluminum output fell 9 percent in September to 125,400 tonnes, compared to the 137,800 tonnes produced in the same month last year, the Brazilian Aluminum Association (ABAL) said on Thursday. Production in the first nine months of this year reached 1.16 million tonnes, a drop of 7.2 percent compared with the same period of 2008, Abal said. Data showed the largest cuts in production came from plants owned by Alcoa due mainly to lower output from its Pocos de Caldas unit. Brazil is the world's sixth biggest aluminum producer. Following is a table of comparative data for primary aluminum production by Brazilian company for the month of July. Volumes are in thousands of tonnes and variations are expressed as percentages.
