SAO PAULO, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Brazil's primary aluminum output fell 16 percent in October to 119,700 tonnes, compared to the 141,600 tonnes produced in the same month last year, the Brazilian Aluminum Association (ABAL) said on Monday. Production in the first 10 months of this year reached 1.27 million tonnes, a drop of 8.1 percent compared with the same period of 2008, Abal said. Data showed the largest cuts in production came from plants owned by Alcoa due mainly to lower output from its Pocos de Caldas and Sao Luis unit. Brazil is the world's sixth biggest aluminum producer. (Reporting by Alice Assuncao; Editing by Marguerita Choy)
