Rusal Looks for a Plant Construction Site in the Far East

BLAGOVESCHENSK, October 22. Deposits of lignite in the Amur region are currently being evaluated by specialists of the United Company 'Russian Aluminum' and its German partners. One of the deposits may be used as a base for the construction of a thermal power station. Locally generated energy is necessary to start the production of aluminum. The issue on the location of the future large-scale production is to be finalized after the investors visit other deposits in the Far East.
