Alcoa raises prices for some alloy coil products

NEW YORK, July 28 (Reuters) - Alcoa Inc. said its North American Rolled Products division increased prices to its customers by $0.02 per lb for some alloy coil products effective on Tuesday. In a note to customers sent late Monday, Alcoa's NARP announced the depot conversion price increase effective with new orders placed on or after July 28, regardless of shipment date. The aluminum maker said products included in this increase are all 3xxx/5xxx series alloys coil products, including tread coil, and 6xxx series alloy coil and flat sheet. All existing orders and firm agreements confirmed before July 28 will be honored, it said. (Reporting by Carole Vaporean; Editing by Christian Wiessner)
