Nalco initiate second period extension project

New Deli, Nov. 28—Nalco initiates second period extension project. The cost will be 50 billion rupees. India government approved them to build this smelter on Oct. 26, 2004. The second period extension project will be completed in December in 2008. This invest plan can increase bauxite and primary aluminum production. It is expected when this project completed, bauxite output will rise to 6.3 million from 4.8 million, and alumina yield will grow to 2.1 million from 1.5 million. Primary aluminum rise to 460 thousands. Nalco power plant capacity will increase to 1200 megawatt from 960 megawatt. In Bombay stock exchange, Nalco stock price fell 1.9 rupee, total turnover is 99,761 shares.
