Rio Tinto Plan to Do Further Research on AP50 Technology

Rio Tinto Alcan said it has launched 8million money to help suppliers in Quebec St. John area to do AP50 research work. This company declared former to build Jonquiere Demonstration Plant in this area use AP 50 technology. This plant annual output will be 60,000 ton and expect to put into production in 2010. This Demonstration Plant is a corner stone of Rio TInto’s 2.1billion investment plan in Jonquiere area. Rio Tinto launch this money is to strengthen the competition ability of local suppliers. This one of the promise Alcan has made before purchased by Rio Tinto, also a part of invest plan.
