Rio Tinto Alcan smelter project feasibility research word to be done

Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation has negotiate with Rio Tinto Alcan on build a aluminum smelter in al-Ruwais, first period investment will be $5b. Rio Tinto Alcan business development department senior vice chairman Sandeep Biswas said: “initial feasibility research work will finish soon and we will do specific feasibility research work secondly, we have begin to negotiate on main business clause.” This factory will be by three periods, each period production capacity is 700 metric ton per year. This project is the second aluminum smelter of Abu Dhabi. EAML is constructing a 1.4m metric ton smelter in Taweelah.
