Goldman: aluminum surplus in 2008, metaphase prospect well

Singapore, Jan. 25—Goldman said on Friday that though aluminum supply will surplus in 2008, yet the metaphase prospect Is very well owe to the electricity supply tension in China, aluminum Export Rebates canceled and levy aluminum tariff. Goldman also said that, China is expected to become a net aluminum imported country in 2008 because the electricity shortage may lead to the close of some smelters. Electricity tension forces Chalco to close its subsidiary company in Guizhou and Zunyi. Chalco is the third alumina producer in the world and the biggest in China. Goldman said in 2009 aluminum price will go back.
