Indian Vedanta’s aluminum output grows in Q2 FY22 y-o-y

   Vedanta, an aluminum producer in India, reported that its aluminum output amounted to 570,000 tons in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2022, growing by 21% compared to the same period in the fiscal year 2021.

  In comparison with the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022, Vedanta’s smelters in Jharsuguda and BALCO produced 4% more cast metal aluminum in the second quarter due to the increased pots. The production included the output from trial runs.
  During the reporting period, Vedanta’s Lanjigarh refinery output 511,000 tons of alumina, rising by 6% compared to the previous quarter and also hiking by 11% from the same period a year ago.
