Hydro raises aluminum recycling capacity in Sjunnen to meet market demand

  Hydro has decided to raise its aluminum recycling capacity at the Sjunnen extrusion plant in Sweden by 50% within one year with an investment of EUR 11.3 million. This expansion project was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022.
  With the expansion of the aluminum casting facility, the Sjunnen plant's annual aluminum recycling capacity will increase to 62,000 tons from 42,000 tons.
  According to Hydro, the expansion plan was to meet the growing demand for low-carbon aluminum profiles in all industries where Hydro operates its extrusion business.
